The Douglas Company built 16,079 DC3s type aircraft, the first one flew on December 17th 1935. This short film is based on a true story of a DC3 that was built for the US Air Force and found its way abandoned in Guyana. Of the many DC3 that were built, this one with serial # 19759 was built on order from the United States Air force.During the time leading up to the war the US made an urgent order for DC3s.
